Hardware

Web applications printing from any browser on any OS should take care set the printer drivers correctly. Many label printers need to have the label size selected or configured, the printer may need to be calibrated, etc.


Printing from Chrome

In Chrome there is are selection for Scaled Output, sometimes called Fit to Page. Do **NOT** select Fit to Page and make sure that Scaled Output is set to **100%**. These settings may be hidden behind a *More Settings* or *Advanced* menu.

You may need to disable the Google Docs Extension.


Extensions

McAfee WebAdvisor is known to cause issues with PDF rendering.


Hardware Scaled Output

After printing a calibration sheet, if the objects don't line up perfectly then the printer hardware or software is scaling the output.

You can inspect PPD files to determine how the ImageArea is modified. Or use [Ghostscript](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11001107/querying-ghostscript-for-the-default-options-settings-of-an-output-device-such/11002313#11002313) to inspect the options.
